Questions & Answers With SICK MF JAY

• Who are you?
I'm SICK_MF_JAY, baby.
Often when I'm talking to people I say whatever comes to mind without thinking, which the response is "you're fuhkin sick Jay".

• How did you get started?
I've always wanted to be a musician ever since I seen Detroit Rock City when I was like 9 years old.
In middle/high school I would put on my own little D.I.Y concerts on my grandma's drive way, then when I graduated and moved to Phx. I then met an artist named Diva Deville who helped me book my first real show.

• When did you start music?
I've wrote horrible songs when I was in middle school, then in high school I joined guitar class to meet other ppl who liked to play. I also joined the poetry club where they would have competitions and I relized I was pretty good.
Not being able to find serious musicians, I took started writing lyrics to instrumentals on YouTube.

• Where are you from?
I'm from the Hopi Tribe in the northeast of Arizona. Pretty much two hours from the closest town, so effort to play real venues must be full force.

• What type of music do you make?
I'm not too sure. I call it Mutilated Music because it's like a blend of different genres, some kind of monster.

• What plans do you have for the future of your music?
I have a lot of things I want to do, but at this time I'm thinking of getting a place dedicated to making music and merch, pretty much a headquarters for Mutilated Music.
As well as begin booking my own events.

When is your next coming release?
I'm currently working on a couple collaboration singles, along with a couple Ep's for later in the year.
