THE STORY OF UPCOMING ARTIST YBCMERC

My name is Nathan I go by YBC Merc. I’m an alternative musician who is very different and can make all different types of music.

I got started in 8th grade about 4 years ago when my friend got me to start making music with him for fun, then I started taking it seriously. I had been writing music since 5th grade but it was all rock and I started out as a rapper in 8th grade and then transitioned into what I do now.

I make alternative music. Singing over melodic rap beats with autotune. A bunch of people label me as emo rap but I just call myself alternative.

I’m from a small town in Kentucky called Mayfield which is about 3 hours from Lexington or Louisville.

I really wanna grow my music and start playing shows and eventually go on tour. That’s the dream. I want to meet people that really vibe with my music and connect to it and everything.

My next release is a song called Ashes and it’s coming out July 19th. It’s about hating things from your past and trying to get rid of them and move on from it.
